a fatal lunch of Beef Wellington pie with mushrooms.
Three lives are lost, and one person was fighting for survival, all due to what police allege was suspected mushroom poisoning.
Ms Patterson, a former community newsletter editor, denies any wrongdoing and we are not suggesting she intentionally poisoned her relatives.

The story so far:
Pastor Ian Wilkinson was the only one of four guests to survive eating the Beef Wellington pie, served on July 29 2023, by Ms Patterson at her home in eastern Victoria.
Mr Wilkinson, his wife Heather and her sister Gail and her husband Don Patterson were invited for the meal at Ms Paterson’s home on her rural property at Leongatha.

Police charge sheets issued to the media last year by Victorian Magistrate Tim Walsh alleged Ms Patterson also allegedly attempted to kill her estranged husband, Simon, four times between 2021 and 2022.
The alleged attempts occurred between November 16 and 17, 2021, May 25 and 27, 2022, and on September 9 2022.
